AD Photonics provides all kinds of high precision windows, wafers and filters from
vaious of materials, including Sapphire, Calcium Fluoride(CaF2), Germanium(Ge),
Silicon, Fused Silica, BK7, MgF2, Zinc Selenide(ZnSe) and quartz for UV to infrared
application at very competitive price and high quality guaranteed. Other special
materials are aslo available upon request. We can also provide CaF2 lens, MgF2 lens
and Ge lens.

Germanium(Ge) Windows/Lenses
Germanium is a commonly used infrared window material. It's popular
for its high index of refraction and good IR transmission. Germanium
blocks UV, visible, and infrared up to about 2um. Its good
transmission range makes it useful for a number of applications, but
due to its high index of refraction, an AR coating is required for
sufficient transmission. Germanium is typical used in thermal imaging
and FLIR applications. It has provide to be most useful as windows
and lens material in the 1.6~18um region for semiconductor substrate
application
CaF2 Windows/Lenses
Calcium Fluoride can be used in the ultraviolet through infrared due
to its high transmission from 250nm to 7um. It is typical used in
cryogenically cooled thermal imaging systems. This material has also
found use in high power and excimer laser optics due to its low
absorption and high damage threshold. CaF2 can be used without
an AR coating because of its low refractiev index.

Zinc Selenide(ZnSe) Windows/Lenses
Zinc based materials provide excellent IR transmission as well as some transmission in the visible. Zinc
Selenide is commonly used in thermal imaging, FLIR, and medical systems. It has wide usage in high
power CO2 laser systems because of its low absorption co-efficient and high resistance to thermal shock.
Si/BK7 Windows/Wedge
BK7 has good performance over visible and near IR spectrum for most applications. These general
pupose windows are polished to up to lambda/10 flatness with parallelism better than 3 arcmin or 10
arcsec. Wedged plane windows are polished to lambda/10 flatness with laser grade finish on both
surfaces. They are intended for use in situations where reflection from the second surface will interfere
with the correct operation of the optical system.
Fused Silica Windows
Optical Low-pass Filters(OLPF)
In high-quality digital imaging systems, optical low-pass filters(OLPF) are used to eliminate color Moire
fringes. IR cut-off function is often incorporated into OLPF as well. OLPFs are made of several
cemented layers of optical quartz material. An IR cut-off coating and AR coating are applied to the
external surfaces.
Anti-Veiling Glass(AVG) Windows
Anti-veiling glass windows is made from UV grade quartz and used as input/output windows of
intensifiers for night vision products. Major characteristics in following:
Coefficient of Expansion: (50+/-1) x 10^-7/C
Softening point: 600 degree C
Transmission: >=92%
Transmission of absorb layer: <=0.1%
Specification:
Sapphire Windows/Disks
Single crystal sapphire windows are ideal for demanding
applications(such as laser systems) because of their extreme surface
hardness, high thermal conductivity, high dielectric constant and
resistance to common chemical acids and alkalis. Sapphire has
transmission range from 0.15 to 5.5 micron.
Fused Silica has better performance from UV to IR spectrum. The superior transmission characteristics
and excellent thermal properties combined with high tolerance manufacturing specifications make these
windows a suitable choice for most demanding applications. It is best choice for resistance thermal
application.
